TOMB RAIDER LEVEL EDITOR README - NEW WAD INFORMATION 12\21\00

Directions for using the new ANGKOR WAD:

First, extract the zip file into a temp directory so you can easily move/copy them.

Copy the files from within the ANGKOR_WAD folder into your TRLE\GRAPHICS\WADS folder.

Copy the entire ANGKOR folder into your MAPS folder.  It contains two project files (see below) and the texture map.

Copy the SCRIPT.TXT and ENGLISH.TXT files into your SCRIPT folder (see below if you have already modified your script)

Copy the SCRIPT.DAT and ENGLISH.DAT into your root directory (see below if you have already modified your script)

Copy the ANGKOR.TR4 file into your DATA folder (see notes below).

Copy the SOUNDS.TXT file into TRLE\SOUND\LEVELSFX CREATOR (see below if you have already modified your SOUNDS.TXT file)



ANGKOR.PRJ and ANGTEMP.PRJ
==========================

ANGKOR.PRJ - The original Angkor Wat level project is included for your reverse engineering pleasure!  

ANGTEMP.PRJ - Use this as a 'template' when you begin a project using this WAD.  It was made by deleting all the rooms from the original project file.  If you don't use this template, your water animations may not work properly.



PREVIOUSLY MODIFIED SCRIPTS AND SOUND FILES

SCRIPT.TXT - If you have already modified your scripts and don't want to copy over them, make the necessary changes to your script by cutting and pasting the level block of information for the Angor Wat level into your script.txt file and by adding the necessary line of text to the ENGLSIH.TXT file.  Run the DOS command to create your new .DAT files

SOUNDS.TXT - You don't need to worry about the changes in this file unless you are planning to make some changes to the the sound files for this level.  Sounds for the mummy, crocodile and the rolling ball rumble are not in the original SOUNDS.TXT file, so if you want to change any of the existing sound files and then create the new .sfx and.sam files for your Angkor WAD, you would need to make sure you incorporate the changes from the new SOUNDS.TXT file.



KNOWN BUGS OR PROBLEMS
======================
The water texture doesn't work properly unless the cascade texture ( directly below the water textures) is applied somewhere in your project.  Also, use the angtemp.prj or the water animation may not work.

When actually playing the provided ANGKOR.TR4 file, Von Croy's AI scripts have a tendency
to break.  He may wander off or stop moving, therefore he may not open certain doors and prevent Lara from being able to complete the level.  Remember that this is only a sample TR4
file and it was altered for demo purposes.  If you'd like to replay the Angkor Wat level as it was intended to be played, please refer to your copy of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation.
